Verizon knows you've been waiting months for the Nexus 6. "To all Nexus fans, thank you for your patience," the company said in a note announcing that the Google flagship phone will finally launch online sales tomorrow, March 12th. In-store availability will begin on March 19th. Like AT&T, Verizon has priced the Nexus 6 at $249.99 on contract, and Edge customers can pay in monthly installments of $27.08 over 24 months. Beyond the initial thank you, Verizon isn't offering any explanation for the long delay in releasing Nexus 6.

You didn't necessarily have to wait: the Nexus 6 sold by Google Play, Motorola, Sprint, and T-Mobile has worked on Verizon's network from the start without issue. (AT&T's version is locked and cannot be taken to another carrier.) But by flipping the switch on official support, Verizon is giving Nexus 6 owners new features like HD Voice — part of the Android 5.1 update — and simultaneous voice and data. Verizon's Nexus 6 is shipping with Android 5.1 out of the box, so at least you won't need to install a big software update immediately after powering it on. The Nexus 6 was originally announced in mid-October and began shipping the next month.
